NuEye allows easier UI development and design which has become a hot issue in the mobile phone and devices market. Core Logic’s NuEye focuses on performance and function in consideration of 3D UI development and user environment. This new chip supports 100 megapixels and can produce five million polygons per second. In addition, it is compatible perfectly with Open Gl-ES 1.1 which is the standard for mobile 3D engines. Processing speed and price competitiveness has been raised with the use of EDRAM (Embedded DRAM), as adopting Powergating technology and the 65nm process enables Core Logic to achieve low-power design satisfying the power efficiency needs of the mobile devices market. Moreover, compressed texture functions increases memory usage efficiency, as well as Non-Power-of-2 texture which allows the reuse of existing UI images. NuEye comes with NuEye Studio which is a design tool that enables easy production of 3D UI content on the chipset and the XML based NuEye Engine. Now, 2D graphic designers who are rather familiar with Flash or Photoshop can also easily develop 3D graphic UI. Especially, with NuEye Studio, complicated coding tasks can be eliminated and designers can check their UI design in real-time which helps reduce development time as well as production costs. In addition, NuEye Studio can convert 2D UI designs into 3D easily.
