CLM6500, one of Core Logic's second mobile TV chipset series enables users to take pictures, capture movies and watch TV at any place, any time.
CLM6500's architecture is based on CLH31x, which has proven performance on the world-leading mobile phone. CLM6500 employs dual SPI, which allows connection between two basebands, DMB-H, enabling handsets to receive broadcast packets in real time regardless of whether it uses DMB or DVB-H standard. Newly added Conditional Access System (CAS) enables premium channel subscribers to watch the preferred programs.
CLM6500 provides enhanced movie quality with D1 resolution, compared to the previous model with CIF resolution. Captured images and movies can be displayed on to the LCD or TYV screen. It also supports the Digital Rights Management features to protect the movie or music contents from unauthorized use.
CLM6500 provides the memory card interface for SD Card, MMC, T-Flash, and etc. It supports USB 2.0 for fast data transfer and dual-role peripheral.
Core voltage ranges from 1.1V to 1.3V while I/O voltage from 1.65V to 3.0V. Its software is upward-compatible with that of the previous models such as CLH31x and CL8x so that the exiting software could be used and reduce the development time. The evaluations board is also available.
